HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It’s 2018! A New Year and a New Feeling.

I want to start by saying thank you. Thank you for sticking by GozenGirls and continuing to talk about it, tell your friends about it and contact me about it, even though there has been some radio silence over the last few months. Life flipped itself on its head in October 2017 and I needed to take some time out to heal, which meant I had to put the brakes on GozenGirls.

The good news is I’m feeling so much better. So much stronger and so ready for a whole host of good books to delve into for 2018. And this difficult period has just highlighted the importance of books for me. They have been a big part of me getting through some dark times over recent months. And so I’ve decided to concentrate my efforts on building the GozenGirls community around books that really get us talking. From now on the books featured, reviewed and discussed in our monthly bookclubs will have a focus on non-fiction. Memoirs, real life and real lessons. I know it’s something we all need. And I hope that many of you will find these books help you to heal, help you to grow and help you to rise up and be the best person you can be.

From time to time I’ll be running a roundup of fiction books in the form of ‘Top Latest Reads’ – at least whilst the community and the platform continues to grow and our contributors will post fiction reviews here and there.

So without further ado I’d like to share with you the GozenGirls 2018 Reading List. A new book every month for you to immerse yourself in and either join us live online to discuss what you thought via our Facebook group – https://www.facebook.com/groups/gozengirls/ or in person at one of our monthly meetups. These are currently happening in Brighton but if you’re based elsewhere in the world then I’d LOVE for you to hold your own meetup – drop me an email – donna@gozengirls.com and I can help you set everything up!

Stay tuned for some super special events happening this year too. Just make sure you’re part of the Facebook group or signed up to our Newsletter and you’ll stay up to date!

Occasionally the books we chose may change depending on what’s coming out this year but for the next couple of months the reading list is planned as follows:

February – Judgement Detox by Gabrielle Bernstein

March – BETA by Rebecca Holman

April – Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

May – Rushing Women’s Syndrome by Dr Libby Weaver

June – The Goddess Revolution by Mel Wells

July – The Multi-Hyphen Method by Emma Gannon

August – Love Your Lady Landscape by Lisa Lister

September – Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton

October – The F Word by Lily Pebbles

November – Now Is Your Chance by Niyc Pidgeon

December – You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero

Happy Reading!
